We've rounded up some of Hong Kong's best tapas bars and restaurants for everything from a few small plates to share over drinks, to hearty meals for your next at-home feast.

1. Tomato Basil Soup with Garlic Croutons, Classified

Classified may have a clever name, but their menu is cleverer still. Boasting everything from small plates of meatballs in tomato sauce, to fresh salads and belly busting mains like Piri Piri chicken with coleslaw, you're spoiled for choice. Give our favourite a go – tomato soup flavoured simply with basil and topped with garlic croutons. This one is practically a taste of the Mediterranean in a bowl.

2. Cold Cuts, Aberdeen Street

Aberdeen Street knows what you need for your next party. If you can't decide between their Party Sets, scroll through their Meze offerings – they whip up everything from simple hummus to Eggplant & Prosciutto Rolls here. For an elegant nibble with drinks, we love their Cold Cuts – Parma ham, salami and white ham come together with a few briny cornichons to cut through the richness.

3. Baked Fish Fillet, MedOven

If you're looking for a more substantial dinnertime feast, MedOven's menu is certain to make your stomach rumble. For a filling lunch at your desk, go for one of their Bento Boxes, filled with your choice of keftedes, chicken souvlaki with moussaka, or a light vegan option.

But for a peaceful fish supper, we love to order the Baked Fish Fillet, roasted with Mediterranean herbs, and served up with a Greek salad and potato wedges.

4. Smoked Sardine, Sourdough Bread, Ham & Sherry

Ham & Sherry is a collaboration between two of Hong Kong's notable chefs – Yenn Wong and British Michelin-Starred chef, Jason Atherton.

With the largest sherry collection in Hong Kong – fifty varieties to choose from, eight are available to order online. Transport yourself to sunny Spain by sipping sherry while nibbling on smoked sardines and toasted sourdough bread.

Their menu may be a short, but quality over quantity is always a good thing. To get that holiday feeling at home, order a Modern Caprese Salad, 'Gambas' Garlic Tiger Prawns and a couple of mains or pasta. But wait — start things off with some luxurious slices of 36 Months Iberico Jamon for a memorable feast.
