The team at High Street Grill have kept things classic with their wagyu burger. The patty is flame grilled for a smoky, punchy flavour, and bundled into a lightly toasted bun, finished off with the traditional salad trio of crisp lettuce, juicy tomato and the sweet yet sharp red onion.

2. Butcher & Baker
They also get in on the flame-grilled vibe over at Butcher & Baker too. And while you get the classic burger formula – bun, patty, salad – they add in your choice of cheese with their Wagyu Beef Burger. So opt for the cheddar if you like all things traditional, the Swiss for a bit of sweet nuttiness, or the blue cheese if you're after those unforgettable sharp flavours.

3. Ktown Bar & Grill
Wagyu beef is packed into all sorts of goodies at Ktown Bar & Grill. From a steak to a sandwich, there's loads on offer. We're here about the burger though, a chunky patty is tucked into a sesame seed topped bun, and piled with melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and rings of onion. This wonder is served up with a side of rustic chips, for a truly American-inspired feast.

4. 5019 Premium Factory
You know a restaurant takes its burgers seriously when wagyu beef actually comes as standard. Although this introduces the dilemma of just which one to choose, we're sure you'll manage. We love the RYOMA Burger, where a 120g wagyu patty is met with flaked tuna, cheese, egg and soft, rich eggplant.

If you like to go all out with your burger toppings, Burgerman is the place for you. Enter the Black Truffle Wagyu Burger. A wagyu beef patty is paired with melted provolone cheese, a fried egg and a luxurious black truffle sauce. As if that weren't enough, this immense burger is accompanied by Japanese bean sprout salad and a tangy sesame sauce. If you prefer a straight-up original though, you can't beat the Classic Cheese Burger.
