There is such a thing as free food. We've rounded up three of our favourite restaurant offers in the city centre, each involving a free dish. As if you needed even more of a reason to order in tonight…
1. Free Butter Sugar Lemon Crepe, InstaCrepes
Don't be fooled by the name – InstaCrepes serves up a superb selection of savoury galettes and sweet crepes, but they also have much more on their menu. French crepes may be their speciality, but you can also expand your ever-so cultured European palate with a range of traditional Italian pasta dishes too.
Tickle your taste buds with a traditional spaghetti Bolognese in a rich tomato basil sauce. Or go for some serious indulgence with bacon and egg yolk and thick cheesy cream. A sophisticated seafood spaghetti with a herby dill sauce, and a colourful veggie option too. And best of all – order two pasta or lunch sets and get a free lemon and sugar crepe.

Free Mango Lassi, Modern Masala
Modern Masala knows that when eating their spicy, fragrant and sometimes super-hot curries, there's nothing better than something cool and creamy to wash it down with. All hail the mango lassi. This deliciously rich mango yogurt drink is the perfect curry accompaniment, but its natural sweetness also makes for a light dessert drink too.
Modern Masala's traditional Indian curries are packed with aromatic flavour, with tender marinated meat dishes and vegetarian options too. Up there with the most popular orders, are the Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the veggie Palak Paneer, made with authentic Indian cottage cheese. If you spend over $180 you'll receive a free mango lassi, and if your order totals over $300, you'll get two.

3. Free Edamame and Grilled Dried Ray Fin, Ore-No Kappou By Ginza Okamoto
If you're a fan of the sophisticated sushi movement, you'll love Ore-No Kappou. With a massive menu of traditional Japanese cuisine, you're utterly spoilt for choice. You've got classic sashimi, and a whole load of tempura appetizers – tiger prawns, seasonal vegetables, pumpkin – and plenty of bigger main dishes too.
The Grilled Black Cod Marinated with Saikyo-Miso is one of our favourites. Another much-loved dish is the Inaniwa Udon with Miyazaki Wagyu in Hot Soup. Best of all, spend $38 and you'll get a free portion of Grilled Dried Ray Fin, and spend $68 for free Edamame Beans too.
