Love has to be put into action, and that action is Deliveroo Links – connecting restaurants and NGOs to bring surplus food to community in need.
Caring has the gift of making the ordinary special. Mrs. Fields cookies put big smiles on 300 families's faces at Faith in Love Foundation's annual BBQ event; Wong Chi Kei bamboo-pressed noodle making class which gave Hoi Lai Estate children the opportunity to feel connected with the Chinese traditions; and Lucky Star's pineapple buns had the power to give ethnic minorities a taste of Hong Kong.
Humanity is our ultimate community, and you and I play crucial roles. In 2017 – 2018, Deliveroo Links has worked closely with 34 restaurants to serve over 6,000 meals through 27 charities. In June 2018, we won FOOD-CO | Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development (SIE) Fund Save & Share Gold Award to thank you for our effort in saving the food for the needy.
Understanding the power of giving, we would not let a single meal pass without sharing it with the community. Leveraging our extensive network, we partnered with South Youth District Association and People Service Centre to organize flower and food upcycling workshops for families, breaking the barriers between children and elderly. To educate families on sustainable seafood, we also collaborated with Choose Right Today to organize Kin Hong Seafood Festival in 2017 and Sustainable Seafood Workshop for local communities in 2018.
Our recent recognitions further prove that small, thoughtful commitments can change the world. We felt incredibly honoured to be winners of Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) Most Devoted Award and Outstanding Caring Award. We will continue striving to bring people together through Deliveroo Links, sharing love and empowering people with dignity.
Deliveroo Links, link you and I through food one meal at a time.
